Despite seeing their 5-run lead whittled down by the end, Monte Vista Christian Varsity Mustangs still held off for a 5-4 victory on Wednesday. Stevenson closed the gap by scoring on a double, a double, a triple, and a solo home run.

Monte Vista Christian Varsity Mustangs got on the board in the top of the third inning after Kayla Fullalove-Silveira doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Addie Boles doubled, scoring two runs, and Juliana Lopez grounded out, scoring one run.

Gianna Johnson opened the game for Monte Vista Christian Varsity Mustangs. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three. Patel started in the circle for Stevenson. The starter allowed seven hits and five runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking four.
