Kelsie Domenighini collected three hits in four at bats, as Salinas Varsity Cowboys defeated North Salinas 7-3 on Friday. Domenighini hit a solo home run to left field in the sixth inning, tripled in the seventh inning, and singled in the second inning.

North Salinas got on the board in the first inning after Hailey Morrell grounded out, scoring one run.

Gigi Rossi singled to left field, which helped Salinas Varsity Cowboys tie the game at one in the top of the fifth.

North Salinas took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. A wild pitch scored one run, to give North Salinas the advantage, 2-1.

Salinas Varsity Cowboys captured the lead, 3-2, in the top of the sixth after Domenighini homered to left field, and Yareli Alcaraz homered to left field, each scoring one run.

Clarissa Corona singled to the left side of the infield, which helped North Salinas tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth.

Salinas Varsity Cowboys captured the lead, 7-3, in the top of the seventh when Jaslyne Coronado singled, scoring one run, Domenighini tripled, scoring two runs, and Sam Merillana hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Bella Machuca started the game for Salinas Varsity Cowboys. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Audri Palmer started in the circle for North Salinas. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Abi Jones appeared in relief for Salinas Varsity Cowboys.
