 Two local players garnered section wide honors on the 2003 All-San Jose Mercury News CCS Girl's Basketball Team. Soquel's Ashley Dunn was named CCS Junior of the Year, Notre Dame's Jessica Ross was named CCS Sophomore of the Year, and Notre Dame head coach John Given was named CCS Coach of the Year. A horrific omission from the CCS first team was 3-time league MVP Serena Benavente, who will take her immense talent to St. Mary's next year on a basketball scholarship.

 The 18th annual Kiwanis North-South Girl's High School All-Star basketball game will be played this Saturday (3/29) at Hartnell College. Girls start time is 6:00 p.m.; boys start at 8:00pm.  Come out and support these standout senior players, participating in their last local high school basketball game.
