Quotes of the Week

Jeff Carnazzo Monterey County Herald
"This meant more to us than San Benito in terms of getting a share of the TCAL title," Carnazzo said. "We seem to play better with our backs against the wall."
Al Avila  Monterey County Herald
"This is one of the best games I've ever been involved in," Al Avila said. "This is just a completely unbelievable feeling."
Mark Ironside Monterey County Herald
"I'll take a 4-6 record with the schedule we played," Salinas coach Mark Ironside said after the Cowboys' 41-0 romp over their cross-town rivals. "The kids matured a lot. I would call this a successful season -- certainly something to build on."
Tod Thatcher  Monterey County Herald
"Bozzo just kicked our butts," San Benito assistant coach Tod Thatcher said.
Glen Webb Morgan Hill Times
We told the kids, this is no big thing, the playoffs are four weeks long, and from here on in its do or die for everyone, Webb said. These kids had something to prove. If we cant make the playoffs now, we never will.
