The Falcon defense played well and countered the San Benito attack most of the game. The defense was led by freshman goalkeeper Emily Johnson who had 3 saves during the game and the shutout. The defensive backfield was led by senior captain Brittany Kuo who had an excellent game. The defense also had senior Kelsey Baskovich, sophomore Kalynn Morano and freshman Kacey Lilly playing a good game. The midfield played fairly well in the sloppy field conditions. The midfield was led by senior captain Kailey Payne, sophomore captain Jordin Carlson, junior captain Aly Bothman, freshman Madison Black and senior Amy McDowell. Also contributing to the midfield was senior Sydnie Reyes, sophomore Ranae Maloney and sophomore Kathryn Balch. The forwards played a good aggressive game and consistently tried to put pressure on the Haybaler goal. The forwards were led by sophomore Emily Payne, junior Keara McCullough, senior Michelle Hunter and sophomore Taylor Rohde. |
