Monterey’s offense erupted for 20 hits Tuesday in a decisive 15–2 win over North Salinas, with Utah commit Denae Lee delivering a statement performance. Last season’s co-home run leader drove in four runs on two hits, including a home run, continuing her power presence in the middle of the lineup.
The decisive stretch came in the fourth inning. Leah Haedrich scored a run on a sacrifice fly, Anaiyah Brown added a two-run single, and Lee ripped a three-run double to blow the game open. Monterey kept the pressure on late, adding five more runs in the seventh to put it out of reach.
In her varsity debut, Nicole Seal dominated in the circle, striking out 13 over seven innings while allowing just two runs. Brown paced the lineup with three hits, and Jenna Deese, Khloe Deese, Emery Jennings, and Keira Prakash each recorded multi-hit games as the Toreadores showcased their depth.
