Salinas Varsity Cowboys took Thursday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 1-0 walk-off victory over King's Academy Varsity Knights at Salinas High School. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the eighth when Gigi Rossi doubled, scoring one run.

Abi Jones earned the win for Salinas Varsity Cowboys. The righty allowed five hits and zero runs over eight innings, striking out nine and walking three. Katia Nesper took the loss for King's Academy Varsity Knights. The starter went seven and one-third innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out 16 and walking none.

Rossi went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Kelsie Domenighini led Salinas Varsity Cowboys with two hits in three at bats. Salinas Varsity Cowboys didn't commit a single error in the field. Demarie Fernandez had the most chances in the field with 10.

Mia Bennette led King's Academy Varsity Knights with three hits in four at bats. Nesper threw an immaculate inning in the second, striking out the side on nine pitches. King's Academy Varsity Knights were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kes Wong had the most chances in the field with 16.
