Live Oak is hosting the 15th annual Circle of
Champions Softball tournament March 10, 11th and 18th at Twin Creeks
Sports Complex in Sunnyvale. This is the premier High School
Softball tournament every year. We have 32 Varsity teams from
San Francisco to Monterey. The top teams are always in it.
And it deals with a much greater cause than winning a game--the ups
and downs of life--and cancer...our team realizes this and is proud to
work hard and give back...
It is officially called the Annie Lynch Memorial
Tournament. Portions of the proceeds are donated to the American
Cancer Society in Annie's memory. Years ago, Annie had a
daughter playing for Live Oak. Although Annie was battling
cancer at the time, she was courageous and inspiring to every person
associated with the team--as well as every person she came in contact
with. Annie's husband Rick is a big donor in the community with
help in all areas for the schools with Peninsula Building Supplies.
After donating to the American Cancer Society,
the rest of the proceeds go directly to the Live Oak Softball program
(this is our major fundraiser) This year we will be able to use
these funds to help purchase uniform supplies, tournament entries for
the JV & Varsity teams, and new equipment--as well as help pay for
part of the new field installed back at Live Oak!
This tournament has been a tremendous success due
to the support and hard work of the parents and coaches. We
would like to thank all of the parents in this and prior years
who put in extra time and work behind the scenes as well as work the
tournament!
Thank you,
Live Oak Coaching Staff
