Week 8 By The Numbers
207	Tim Bothke's 207 yards rushing was the most for Salinas High since RaChard Williams galloped for 176 yards in a 47-0 rout of Wilcox in the 2001 CCS DII playoff semifinals.
89	Santa Cruz limited King City to 89 yards of total offense in a 50-0 victory over the visiting Mustangs.
45	Carmel (22) and Gonzales (23) combined for 45 first downs in the Spartan's 42-41 victory over the Padres. The two teams also combined for 864 yards of offense and 83 points.
30	Here is the list of teams that have never participated in the CCS playoffs: Alisal, Greenfield, Harker Academy, Lincoln, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Sacred Heart Prep, St. Lawrence, San Jose, Scotts Valley and Soledad. Alisal took a huge step towards ending a 30 year playoff drought by tying North Monterey County 21-21. The Trojans are now in the driver's seat for their first-ever CCS football playoff berth.
