Notes

Burlingame is playing in its first-ever CCS championship game. San Lorenzo Valley is making its 4th straight CCS championship game appearance, and is attempting to win its3rd CCS title in the last 4 years. In last week's 33-14 CCS semifinal win over Cupertino, sophomore quarterback Drew Shiller threw for 149 yards and tossed a touchdown pass to his brother, tight end Brian Shiller. 6-foot-2, 240-pound senior linebacker/fullback Joe Bernardini (18 carries,78 yards, 1 TD last week) and Kevin Farnham (9 carries, 65 yards, 1 TD last week) carry the rushing load for the Panthers. Both backs combined for 137 yards and a touchdown in a 9-7 playoff loss last season to eventual CCS DIV champion Pacific Grove. Sophomore running back Ryan Gilbert (5-9, 185-pounds) is also capable of putting up big numbers. The versatile back/receiver scored 4 touchdowns in Burlingame's 31-21 CCS first round victory over Pioneer, and scored 3 touchdowns the previous week in a 20-6 PAL Ocean Division championship game victory over San Mateo.
