Week 10 By The Numbers

1470 Carmel running back Chris Brown finished the regular season with  an area-best 1470 rushing yards.
683 Palma and Hollister combined for 683 rushing yards in a 41-20 Chieftain victory.
677 Scotts Valley receiver Matt Anderson finished the regular season with  an area-best 677 receiving yards and an area best 9 touchdown receptions.
28 Watsonville running back Shawn Benjamin finished the regular season with an area-best 28 rushing touchdowns.
26 The Alvarez defense held Alisal to 26 yards rushing, helping the Eagles clinch a share of the MBL title, the first football title in school history.
20 Scotts Valley quarterback Andrew Wick finished the regular season with an area-best 20 touchdown passes.
18 Palma's state-record streak of  18 consecutive league championships was snapped by Salinas High after the Cowboys knocked off North Salinas to claim the TCAL title.
13 The Salinas defense held standout North Salinas running back Ronnie Drummer to a season low 13 yards in a 29-6 Cowboy victory. 
13 A North Salinas score on the last play of the game snapped a streak of 13 consecutive shutout quarters by the Salinas defense.
8 All 8 local CCS playoff teams finished the regular season with a week 10 victory. 
7 San Lorenzo Valley clinched its 7th consecutive SCCAL title.
5 Carmel running back Chris Brown scored 5 rushing touchdowns in a 49-31 victory over Pacific Grove.
