Led by tournament Most Valuable Player Kim Dabo, the Hollister girl's
volleyball team won the 36-team High Sierra Volleyball Tournament held this weekend in
Reno, Nevada. Coming into the tournament ranked #8 in the state by Cal-Hi Sports,
the Balers posted an 8-1 overall record en route to the tournament title.
Impressive 2-0 wins over 30th ranked Rio Americano in the semifinals and 19th
ranked St. Francis of Sacramento in the finals solidified Hollister's spot
this season among the state's elite. Middle blocker Kaylie Kortsen and setter Jennie Denton were
also named to the High Sierra All-Tournament team.
