The RLS Pirates girls water polo team made more history today becoming the first Monterey County team to ever win a CCS Championship in boys or girls water polo. Playing the #1 seeded Harker Eagles the #2 seeded Pirates were on full attack, never trailing in the game and scoring 15 goals in the 15 - 12 victory. Emmerson Ferriera led Pirate scorers with 5 goals and Sofia Bozzo chipped in 4. Sophomore goalie Anna Mitchell had 6 saves in the win. The Pirates will now advance to the CIF Nor Cal Regional Championships.
