| Harbor shutout Monte Vista Christian 2-0, as the Pirates defense held strong. Centerbacks senior Hannah LoFranco & Junior Ruby McAlister kept the Mustangs at bay for 80 mins. Junior Sonja Hulphers tallied two goals in the first half, finding the goal wide open on two break-aways. Junior Olivia Chen fought for a ball with the MVC goal keeper, springing Hulphers in the 25th min. In the 30th min LoFranco sent a free kick to Hulphers, who slipped it past the keeper. The Pirates created numerous chances in the second half but could not capitalize and settled for the 2-0 win. Harbor (4-2-0) travel to St. Francis SCP (0-1-1) on Wednesday at 3:30. |
