PG faced a hard fighting team from Anzar tonight. PG dominated a game which was a "one-way street" from beginning to end. PG had close to 20 scoring chances, of which Anzar's goalie (Daniel Goodman) recorded 16 saves (PG's Griffin had 3). Daniel's many and solid saves, saved Anzar from a barrage of goals (incl. one dissallowed goal, which after the game was reviewed and deemed valid... Which does not count of course). PG finally scored after 62 minutes, after a run through by PG freshman, Tariq Ahmad, and ultimately a tackle and penalty kick for PG. PG's captain, Matt Spade, scored PG's only and winning goal. For PG, Tariq, Matt and JT Salazar played outstanding. PG is now 6-2 in MTAL and hosts Soledad next Tuesday at 5:30pm at home (7-2 overall) |
