Salinas High Girls Soccer opened league play at Watsonville High this evening. The Cowboys won 3-1. Salinas' first goal was scored in the 13th minute by Alicia Cuevas and was assisted by Brittany Tibbs. Salinas' second goal was scored in the 33rd minute by Alondra Partida and was assisted by Ashley Tibbs. Watsonville's lone goal was scored from a free kick in the 38th minute. Salinas' final goal was scored in the 71st minute by Alicia Cuevas and was assisted by Alexis Reynoso. Salinas' goal keeper, Sophia Tellez had a total of 4 saves. The Cowboys overall record is 5-2 and League record is 1-0 Salinas will next host Pajaro Valley on January 15th. |
