St. Francis S.C.P. Notes and Quotes
On Friday night, the Saint Francis Central Coast Catholic Sharks women's Varsity basketball team traveled to Aptos to take on the Mariners. The Sharks lost 63 - 48 in a hard fought contest. The Sharks were hampered by 5 early turnovers in each of the first and third quarters. Sharks Freshman Center Katherine Brown led all scorers with 22 points. Brown added had 10 rebounds and 1 block. Also for the Sharks Sophomore Annette Ruvalcaba had 9 points, 4 steals and 3 rebounds; Junior Nicole Smith had 6 points 1 block and 6 assists; Junior Erin Laverone had 12 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal and 2 points, Sophomore Jasmine Oliveres has 5 points, including 1 three point basket, 6 assists and two steals. The Mariners were led Kirsten Sambrailo who had 15 points, eight other Mariners scored in the game.
