Senior captain, goalkeeper Kevin Halasz had 6 goalie saves during the game. Kevin Halasz is a strong athletic goalie with an aggressive attitude. The Santa Cruz defense played physical and solid while preventing shots on their goal and suppressing the Soquel attack. The defense was lead by senior team captain Trevor Ross (sweeper), freshman Tanner Akol (FB), freshman Slater Meehan (FB) and junior Diego Pio (stopper). Santa Cruz midfielders, senior Shakaim Redrovan, senior Gerardo Hernandez, junior Filimon Richardson, sophomore Ethan Gomez and junior Felipe Camberos also played solid and physical. The Santa Cruz forwards, senior Cesar Aguilar and freshman John Chronopoulos maintained the pressure on Soquel the entire game with their speed and relentless attacking of the oppositions goal. |
