The first half was played neck to neck by both teams. Santa Cruz first scored in the 5th minute when senior Cesar Aguilar scored after an assist from freshman John Chronopoulos. After several excellent passes from seniors Shakaim Redrovan and Gerardo Hernandez, Santa Cruz's senior captain Trevor Ross scored a goal in the 34th minute. The score ended at half time - Santa Cruz 2 to San Lorenzo Valley 0. The second half was a hard fought battle by both teams. Santa Cruz again scored in the 45th minute when senior Cesar Aguilar scored after an assist from John Chronopoulos. The game ended with the score - Santa Cruz 3 to San Lorenzo Valley 0. The Santa Cruz defense played a physical and solid game with senior captain Trevor Ross (sweeper), freshman Tanner Akol (FB) and freshman Slater Meehan (FB).
