The pressure continued throughout the first half with numerous shots from Blair, April and Jackie including a spectacular ball from Jackie that hit the bar, rebounded to Blair, but still eluded the net.

The second half saw much more back and forth action with several attempts from both teams. The Cougars showed great resolve in defense with Isabelle and Laura making some key tackles, winning the ball and initiating quick counter attacks. Jackie offered some great attacking runs, and Blair was a commanding presence in the midfield. April shined with four corner kicks and six free-kicks as Notre Dame showed their frustration at not being able to contain the Cougars. Sarah Wright had a great game in goal, recording nine saves. It was a very well played game, and the Notre Dame coach congratulated us as being the best team they had played so far this season.
