CAL Girls Varsity Soccer results: The York School Falcons pulled away in the second half of a spirited CAL soccer match against the Gonzales High Spartans to win 4-0. After a 0-0 halftime score, the York offense ignited with four second half scores; two goals by Alexis Ixtlahuac, and goals by Lexi Peacock and Kayla Ixtlahuac with an assist by Alisa Opperman. York goalie Elizabeth Faulkner held off an offensive push late in the second half by the Spartans to secure the shut out victory. York goes to 3-2 in CAL league play while Gonzales falls to 1-4. York next takes on the Marina High Mariners at York on Friday Jan. 18 at 3:30.
