Salinas Notes and Quotes
Salinas traveled to Alisal for a very important league matchup. Salinas started off well in the first half but Alisal took more control as the game reached the midway point. Salinas had the best chance of the game towards the end of the half when a ball was played through to Chris Pinto, in which he received the ball and took the shot but the Alisal goalie made a good save.

In the 2nd half, Salinas came out very strong winning many of the 50/50 balls. Salinas had most of the opportunities in the second half and held Alisal's offense to only 2 shots on goal which hardly tested the keeper Valentino Reyes. Salinas had 5 second half corner kicks (7 for the game), in which two nearly found the back of the net off of the head's of Aaron Osgood and Kody Fudena. Salinas looked to have a break away late in the second half with ten minutes remaining, but Salinas's Chris Pinto was taken down from behind and the Alisal player was handed a red card.

The defense, led by captain Larry Pinto with assistance from Frankie Monsivias and Ivan Hernandez played a solid game in the back for there 3rd straight shut out.

Since the loss to Palma on Jan. 10th, Salinas has played great soccer with a record of 3-0-2, scoring 16 goals and conceding only 2 goals. Their 2 ties came on the road at CCS #9 Gilroy and on the road at CCS #2 Alisal.
