Santa Catalina School Notes and Quotes
The Cougars opened with a little less physical and mental intensity than Friday's game. Several players were showing signs of fatigue from the work we put into preparing for and playing the Stevenson game. We need to take it easy for a week, then start the building process for CCS.

Sarah Luksik opened the scoring in the 10th minute, heading in a cross from April. Minutes later, Kate Wright won possesion in York's third and weaved in and out of the York defense to make it 2 - 0. The Cougars continued to pepper the York goal with shots until April added #3 in the 30th minute. Just before the half, Ryann drove in a corner kick from Meredith to make it 4-0.

The second half opened with Ryann scoring off a pass from Meredith in the 47th minute. York continued to show the occasional speedy breakaways, and finally a defensive error allowed York to score in the 55th minute.

Undeterred, the Cougars again blasted away at the York goal. In the 67th minute Kendall Bigony sent a perfect through ball to Blair who drove it beautifully into the net from 20 yards. Sarah Wright was hungry to score throughout the second half, and finally in the last few minutes, found the back of the net to make it 7-0 for the Cougars.
