With the game even at four in the seventh, Brooklyn Smith delivered the decisive moment with a two-run home run to left field, giving the Trojans the lead for good. Alisal first got on the board in the fourth when Nevaeh Lopez singled and Aaliyah Ruiz doubled to bring home runs. Scotts Valley briefly took control in the bottom of the fourth on a three-run home run by Natalie Murray Skalland, but Alisal responded in the sixth as Lopez and Ruiz each drove in runs with doubles to reclaim the lead before the Falcons tied it again. Abigail Walker went the distance in the circle for Alisal, striking out six while allowing just three hits. Lopez led the Trojans offensively with three hits, while Ruiz and Smith each drove in two runs to power the victory. |
