Pacific Grove delivered a commanding performance Thursday, rolling past Pajaro Valley 16–0 behind a balanced offensive attack and strong pitching.
The Breakers struck immediately in the first inning and never slowed down. Isis Turner, Destiny Buckles, and Alex Giammanco each drove in runs to start the scoring before Pacific Grove piled on with a five-run second inning and a seven-run fourth to put the game out of reach.
Turner and Kendra Pottharst each collected two hits, while Buckles, Turner, Lyvia Maciel, Jasmine Booker, and Giammanco all drove in two runs. The Breakers also showed patience at the plate, drawing 12 walks to keep constant pressure on Pajaro Valley’s pitching.
Maciel was dominant in the circle, allowing just one hit across four scoreless innings while striking out seven as Pacific Grove completed the shutout victory.
