Micah Smith led an offensive outburst Monday, driving in four runs on three hits as Alisal rolled to a 20–0 victory over North Monterey County.
The Trojans wasted no time setting the tone in the first inning with RBIs from Nevaeh Lopez, Aaliyah Ruiz, and Abigail Walker. The lineup stayed hot in the second, piling up five more runs behind RBI hits from Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Lopez, and Chloe Rubalcava.
Alisal kept the pressure on in the third as Smith doubled in a run and the Trojans added more with aggressive baserunning, including a steal of home.
Walker dominated in the circle, striking out nine over five shutout innings while allowing just two hits. Alisal finished with 20 hits in the game, led by Aubrey Jones’ four-hit performance at the top of the lineup, as the Trojans also swiped six bases in a complete team effort.
