Santa Clara Varsity Bruins jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jordyn Guzman singled, scoring one run, Jazzy (Jasmine) Ramirez singled, scoring two runs, and Marley Hernandez laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.

Santa Clara Varsity Bruins added one run in the second after Rylan Morales grounded out.

Soledad Varsity Aztecs flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Delylah Ocampo that drove in two.

Santa Clara Varsity Bruins made the score 9-7 in the top of the fifth after Averie Lopez laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and Giselle Valdez singled, scoring two runs.

Soledad Varsity Aztecs captured the lead, 11-9, in the bottom of the fifth when Aubrey Esparza drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Maria Villarruel singled, scoring one run.

Soledad Varsity Aztecs scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Morales induced Esparza to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, Aliyah Velarde doubled, scoring two runs, Villarruel lined out, scoring one run, and Ocampo singled, scoring one run.

Ocampo earned the win for Soledad Varsity Aztecs. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and nine runs (six earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking six. Morales took the loss for Santa Clara Varsity Bruins. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering 12 runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out one and walking one.

Santa Clara Varsity Bruins tallied 10 hits in the game. Ramirez drove the middle of the lineup, leading Santa Clara Varsity Bruins with two runs batted in.
