Carmel Varsity Padres Fall To Mountain View Varsity Spartans Despite Strong Effort From Lily Beals Lily Beals collected four hits in four at bats, but Carmel Varsity Padres lost to Mountain View Varsity Spartans 13-9 on Saturday at Carmel Middle School. Mountain View Varsity Spartans got on the board in the top of the first inning after Allison Marcelino doubled, scoring one run, Naila Rocha singled, scoring two runs, and E Jamtgaard singled, scoring two runs. Mountain View Varsity Spartans added two runs in the third. Jamtgaard singled to center field, making the score 7-0. Carmel Varsity Padres scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the sixth inning.
