Aptos High Varsity Softball defeated Alisal Varsity Trojans 8-1 on Saturday thanks in part to six runs in the third inning. Kailani Aguayo tripled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Kalina Healy tripled, scoring two runs, and Makenzie Lashley singled, scoring one run.

Aptos High Varsity Softball opened the scoring in the first after a steal of home scored one run.

Neveah Lopez singled down the left field line, which helped Alisal Varsity Trojans tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Mya Najera-White earned the win for Aptos High Varsity Softball. The pitcher gave up nine hits and one run over seven innings, striking out four and walking four. Lopez took the loss for Alisal Varsity Trojans. The pitcher went seven innings, surrendering eight runs (four earned) on 11 hits, striking out four and walking none.

Aptos High Varsity Softball amassed 11 hits in the game. Healy led Aptos High Varsity Softball with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. Healy went 2-for-4 on the day. Emma Burgueno, Healy, and Lilly McGee each collected two hits for Aptos High Varsity Softball.

Alisal Varsity Trojans tallied nine hits in the game. Lopez and Ameryse Thatcher each collected two hits for Alisal Varsity Trojans. Lopez went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
