Christopher Varsity Cougars had trouble keeping up with Lincoln in a 17-1 loss on Wednesday.

Lincoln were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored two runs.

Lincoln scored eight runs on seven hits in the bottom of the second inning. An error scored one run, Serenity Hernandez singled, scoring one run, Jocelyn Hernandez grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Eva Vasquez singled, scoring two runs, and Melody Bouldt doubled, scoring two runs.

Lincoln extended their early lead with four runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Olivia Diaz, Carina Reuterskiold, and Keona Perez.

Chanel Lucio started in the circle for Christopher Varsity Cougars. The starter gave up nine hits and 10 runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Reuterskiold began the game for Lincoln. The starter surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Brianna Diaz Cruz and Chevelle Quistian were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Christopher Varsity Cougars while hitting back-to-back. Audrina Cabanlit led Christopher Varsity Cougars with one run batted in.

Lincoln collected 18 hits in the game. Reuterskiold provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Lincoln with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-4 on the day. Diaz led Lincoln with four hits in four at bats. Perez, Alaia Carbajal, Hernandez, and Hernandez each collected multiple hits for Lincoln.
