Aptos High Varsity Softball scored eight runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Soquel Varsity Knights 15-0 on Thursday. Kailani Aguayo doubled, scoring two runs, Lilly McGee singled, scoring one run, Makenzie Lashley singled, scoring two runs, Izzy Baker singled, scoring one run, and Gwen Vaca singled, scoring two runs.

A walk by Vaca, a single by Emma Burgueno, and a single by McGee helped Aptos High Varsity Softball extend their early lead in the third.

Aptos High Varsity Softball added to their lead with three runs in the top of the fifth inning thanks to home runs by Burgueno and Nova Neu.

Mya Najera-White earned the win for Aptos High Varsity Softball. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Emma Niizawa opened the game for Soquel Varsity Knights. The hurler allowed 10 hits and 12 runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking four.

Aptos High Varsity Softball piled up 13 hits in the game. Burgueno drove the middle of the lineup, leading Aptos High Varsity Softball with three runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Aguayo, Burgueno, and McGee each collected two hits for Aptos High Varsity Softball. Baker and Vaca each stole multiple bases for Aptos High Varsity Softball. Aptos High Varsity Softball ran wild on the base paths, piling up nine stolen bases for the game.
