Hailey Erskine drove in four on two hits, but Pajaro Valley Varsity Grizzlies fell to Gonzalez highschool 29-6 on Monday.

Pajaro Valley Varsity Grizzlies tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by Erskine, and a walk by aaliyah Suarez.

Gonzalez highschool flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring 10 runs on six hits to take the lead, 13-3. The biggest blow in the inning was an inside the park home run by #3 that drove in three.

Gonzalez highschool scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. A dropped third strike scored one run, an error scored one run, #28 singled, scoring one run, and #23 doubled, scoring two runs.

Gonzalez highschool scored six runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. #5 hit a solo inside the park home run, an error scored one run, #3 tripled, scoring two runs, a dropped third strike scored one run, and #22 doubled, scoring one run.

Gonzalez highschool scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning. #33 was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and #22 hit a grand slam to center field.

#22 earned the win for Gonzalez highschool. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and six runs over five innings, striking out 10 and walking five. Hemeria Delatorre took the loss for Pajaro Valley Varsity Grizzlies. The pitcher went five innings, giving up 29 runs (14 earned) on 17 hits, striking out eight and walking five.

Erskine and Delatorre each collected two hits for Pajaro Valley Varsity Grizzlies. Pajaro Valley Varsity Grizzlies had a strong eye at the plate, tallying five walks for the game. Nadia Renteria and Jaqueline Alvarez Zavala led the team with two bases on balls each.
