Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons won big over Soquel Varsity Knights 12-2 on Monday.

Soquel Varsity Knights were the first to get on the board in the second when Keilana Torres doubled, scoring one run.

Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on eight hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to left field by Natalie Murray-Skalland that drove in two.

Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Gigi Gauthier singled down the left field line, and Gracie Delgado hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Sofie Seese earned the win for Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons. The lefty allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking none. Emma Niizawa took the loss for Soquel Varsity Knights. The pitcher went three innings, allowing eight runs on 12 hits, striking out one and walking one.

Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons amassed 17 hits in the game. Delgado drove the middle of the lineup, leading Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons with four runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Lorelei Warner and Delgado each collected three hits for Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons. Nick Powell, Jazzy Phillips, Jazzy Doubek, and Murray-Skalland each collected multiple hits for Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons. Scotts Valley Varsity Falcons turned one double play in the game.
